Small Class Sizes
As part of our educational strategy, students will be placed into small class sizes not exceeding 25 students for theory classes to maximise student development and learning outcomes. This encourages active participation between students and teachers. This strategy also assists us in ensuring that cross-cultural understanding is promoted and enhanced.
Teaching Staff
Mercury trainers and assessors are experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated, and they deliver well-prepared and stimulating lessons for each course. All trainers and assessors hold certificate IV in training and assessment and are also extremely experienced within each relevant industry.
Flexible Learning
We provide flexible study options and, where possible, schedule daytime and evening classes to meet the needs of all of our students.
This class schedule / training plan be achieved by scheduling classes for 20 hours per week. This may be delivered by one of the following scheduling options:
- 2 days at 8 hours, 1 day at 4 hours
- 3 days at 4 hours, 1 day at 8 hours
- 5 days at 4 hours
Timetable will be provided on the Orientation day.
Advanced Technology and Resources
Our computer lab is equipped with modern technology and is accessible from Monday-Sunday, between 9:00am-9:30pm, to assist students during their studies. Students have free access to their email and can use the Internet facility for personal use during their enrolment with us, provided this use does not contravene MIV’s policy regarding illegal use of technology.
Student Support Services
Our Student Support Services strive to provide the very best welfare and academic support for our students. With our commitment to ensuring a personalised service that meets your needs, including our small campus and low class numbers, we are able to interact with you as often as you need. Our trained friendly support staff provide a ‘drop in’ support service.
